Following the tradition of Applied Biosystems and Ambion to encourage high level technical communication with and between customers, a series of ‘RNA User Meetings’ have been set up in Europe (please see your local area venues/dates below). This forum is intended to bring together scientists from the varying fields of Functional Biology who use similar techniques and approaches, to discuss methodology, workflows, ‘tips-and-tricks’, and share experiences and solutions. Over past years this forum has included the communication of new technologies from the company as well as practical experience from the users. The feedback from participants of previous years has always been positive and encouraging. Following these recommendations we will ask for an open contribution from any user interested in presenting his results using Applied Biosystems - Ambion products in the RNA analysis area. Some venues offer a half day program instead of a full day event. A detailed agenda will be available by end of September. During the full day program we will have one presentation of Applied Biosystems and approx 10 selected talks from customers. Abstracts not selected for an oral presentations will be given the possibility to present a poster in the poster session around lunch time. There will also be an optional Workshop for those wishing to remain after the main meeting for delegates to discuss RNAi work in greater depth, where our specialists will be on hand to aid an open discussion on needs/experiences/solutions in this exciting new arena of research.
